Aggregate or total for direct entry scheme?

IPCC 5960 views 7 replies

Sir,

I have done my Regular Bcom course in a college. I have also given an attempt for IPCC.

I need to know what is the % of marks required for direct entry.

ICAI announced as "agg. of min. of 55% of the total or its equivalent grade by recognised univ., by studying any 3 papers of main subjects."

I need clarification on :

1. whether 55% of aggregate includes language subjects also?

2. Or should we take only the highest marks scored in any 3 subjects of mentioned subjects?

3. What is the recognised/open university? Is it not applicable for colleges having regular course?

4. In the direct entry form, there is space only for 3 subjects to enter,

Ex: If Its Financial A/cing, should I combine my Fin A/cing papers from both semesters or should I take only the highest scored, and vice versa for all subjects?

I enquired in the ICAI institute today and they have clearly told me that for calculating aggregate we have to exclude languages, but I am stil confused bcoz

A. With languages, my agg. marks is 2067/3800 = 54.39% only, DOES NOT ROUND TO 55%

B. the same agg when I calculate semesterwise, I get 327.81/6(semesters) = 54.635%, ROUNDS to 55%

C. Without languages, I still went down to 50% only!

I am confused whether option A or B or C is to be considered.

Which subjects I need to fill it in the new Direct entry form?

Mark it as a Sticky Thread where it will be useful for all future readers!

So, for this direct entry, I am confused whether I am eligible or not.

The institute ppl did not have any time to explain to me.

Advance Thanx for Resolvation/Clarifications.

Dear sir u are not eligible to registered for ipcc because your aggregate marks is low it should be 55% excluding lang.

Kindly focus on point 4 and answer guys, bcoz that is the only proof for the ICAI to be submitted. If I take the highest of any 3 subjects, I get 56%!!

Fraction of half more should be roundup to next whole num.0.5 is 1 it mean.54.86 is 55.u've a chance try it.al d best, bro
I got direct entry in PE-2 on the basis of B.com(53.33%). Then converted to IPCC. But couldn't clear any grp. Am i eligible in newly announced direct entry sceme, to start my articleship? May i get any relexation? or Should i appear in my nov12 attempt? Please help...
Hello you must submit your degree zerox attested marks cards. You should have aggregate of 55 percent or more in your b.com excluding languages !

Thnx guys for prompt replies, and I admit that I wont be eligible for this scheme after the FAQ got released recently. I would apply for NOv exam now!
