Dear Himanshu,

New DTC is expected to come into effect from April 01,2011.

The latest amendments will be the amendments enacted by Finance act 2010, along with other amendments as may be notified upto November 2010 + circulars + notification + case laws.......

So PY 2010-11 and AY 2011-12 will be applicable...... DTC i dont expect to be notified in Nov '10 itself, so i dont think it will be applicable for May 2011, but Nov 2011 there is strong possibility.... All the best.
