What is the procedure to register for articleship?? After how many months of articleship can i appear for PCC exam??

hi sonali, congrats to u for cpt. first of all u have to register for pcc with a registration fee of7500rps. this include your articleship registration fees.then u can find vacancy available in ca firms from icai website.then join ca firm as article clerk or audit assistant. after18months training u can appear for pcc exam.but within this 18 months u have to complete 100hrs IT training then only u can appear for pcc.

This is what you have to do
1) Prepare a Bio-data. A simple format will do
2) Prepare a list of CA firms where you would like to do your articleship. (Talk to friends/seniors before selecting. The main criteria should be (a) attitude of Partners/Managers/Seniors (b) Office Timing - It MUST not clash with your coaching classes. (c) Exam leave - A minimum of 3 months is required (d) Stipend.
A big or a small firm doesnt matter. Usually the stuff that you do is repetitive. Always remember it is the RESULTS that count. The sooner you finish CA the better.
3) Get the E-mail address/tel no of these firms. Email your bio, or better still drop in personally to hand over your bio. Make sure you apply to both big and small firms.
AND WAIT..............................
A small tip - Some firms put you on "waiting list". They make you wait for months and they dont pay stipend during this period. Reject those offers straightaway. DONT DELAY ARTICLESHIP.
