1) Yes. It is proper to file Challan No. 280 for paying Adv Tax.

I had sold some shares in july 2011,sep 2011. can I pay shirt term capital gains tax using Challan No. 280 for paying Adv Tax now. what is the last date of paying tax on short term capital gains? I am a salaried individual. Please help.
