Activation of user id

one of my friends pan has been registered at income tax efiling portal by some persone, but he had not activated the user id after registration by clicking the activation link sent by the departement.

now how do i activate his account scine we dont know the password ..

also i had sent mail at validate, but they ask or the pan address, which was provided but the response mail from departement has rejected the address provided by us.

please help me to know the pan address and the proceedure to re activation of user id..

i have tried the option available at efiling portal regarding re activation link but it requires password which not known to us.

Only the IT deptt can help, call the Benglore number tomorow and explain in full, say address rejected. But if you have genuine pan, I dont think so address will be wrong.

use password forgot option to reset password.

the pan is genuin and the address has been rejected by departement. however the assessee is residing at that place since birth.

i had a call at cpc but they refuse to giv eaddress details and ask for the assessee to call them,

but the assessee is not efficent to call and interact with the departement.

Dear sir / madam

after successful mobile & email OTP verification go to the worklist for pending action approve your registration done from traces site - once this process done you will received mail immediately regarding successful registration.

do not wait for 24 or 48 hours.
