Accrued interest in Public Provident Fund

Sir,
I am a Resident Indian, my query is in which column of 'Schedule EI' of ITR-3 to report interest accrued in PPF? 'Interest Income' or 'Other exempt income'.

Interest accrued in a Public Provident Fund is tax-exempt. You should report this amount in Schedule EI of your ITR-3 under the "Other exempt income" category to maintain accurate and complete financial disclosures.
