32 Accounting Standards in which AS-8 stands withdrawn.
Total 32 Standards However as Per Income Tax Only 2 AS are applicable & Recognised

Dear, there are 32 Accounting Standardsin total wherefrom AS 8 has been withdrawn which is now covered by ( AS 26 R & D Exp.)
However, Income tax act,1961 covers only two Accounting Standards i.e AS 1 & AS 2 .

its been ages since as 8 withdrawal...
as 26 now covers the aspects of as 8...
