Yes, you are right they are not included in the CPT curriculum. But questions may be asked like:

1) How many accounting standards are issued by ICAI till date?
.
2) How many effective acounting standards are there?
.
and just remember the number and corresponding names of the standards.

AS 1 - Disclosure of Accounting policies

AS 2 - Valuation of Inventories

AS 9 - Revenue recognition

AS 5 - Prior period items, change in P& L for period,

Questions asked from AS- in 2006,07,08 Not asked in 09 no idea of 10.

its better u memorize all 31 AS ..its easy 2 memorize kp on revising it dialy.. whenever u cum across a no jus try 2 say whch AS is tat .. its d better way to get it . .
