hi,

Can someone explain the accounting treatement for Finished goods which have been cleared with teh current rate of exicse and lying in the regional depots. If the excise duty is reduced from 12 to 10%, then can we bill the stocks lying in the depots @ 12% or should it be 10%. Can the differential excise amount be claimed back ?

You are manufacturer or Dealer, if you are dealer than you paased excise duty which are invloved in your stoch, if you are manufacturer than you passed which are rate applicable i.e. 10% instead of 12%.

we are manufacturers. What about the 2% excise duty paid ?. Can we get a rebate on teh same

Dear Sir I have similar query.

I am a dealer for four wheeler company. Now that excise duty is reduced by 4 % company is sending us new pricelist with reduced price. Now I have around 100 vehicles lieing at dealer stock which I have purchased with old excise duty from the manufactuer . But manufacturer want me to sell those vehicles at the new price. My questions are

1. Will my manufacturer get the difference of reduced excise duty from excise department those are lieing at the dealer location which we have already purchased from the manufacturer at the old excise duty.

2. If answer to question 1 is yes, I have some of the stock from 2013, can the manufacturer claim rebate against those 2013 stock at my dealer location from the excise department.
