Dear Friend,
I have a query regarding Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana
1. Can a Grand Father or Grand Mother can open a SSY account on behalf of a girl child ?
2. If yes than can Grand Father or Grand Mother can get a advantage of 80 C?
Kindly provide information as early as possible.

1. NO.
As per the Gazette Notification, two people are allowed to open account for a girl child under this scheme:
- Natural Guardian of Girl child
- Legal Guardian of Girl child

Sir, Natural Guardian means Parents of a girl child.
So, Can a mother or a father get a tax advantage under 80C ?
Yes either of parents of the girl child can take deduction benefit u/s. 80C
