And also suggest me some good firms (Medium) in Ahmedabad. I dont want to do my Articleship from High class firms.

As per ICAI the stipend for 1st, 2nd & 3rd year is hardly above Rs. 3000/- But now the Institute has decided to revise the stipend. And as regards the leave, it depends upon the the earlier leave taken by u & the maximum of which must not exceed 180 days of your total training... But U can compensate ur leave if u desire by serving an additional period by mutual consent of ur principal.....

Stipend rates for various years are as follows:_

- For Ist Year - 1000/-,

- For II nd Year - 1250/-,

- For the balance period its 1500/-.

This rates are as per CA Act and now the institute has proposed to regularise the rate of 4500/- irrespective of the period..

and about the leave THE ACT CLEARLY SAYS 2 MONTHS IN THE WHOLE ARTICLESHIP PERIOD (not distingushing whether it is for PCC/IPCC/FINAL) - absurd one...:-(
