and you are talking about account.....you should know that composition dealers have to make all accounts that a regular dealer have to make......except input/output tax account......only relaxation is that a composite of dealer can make summary stock account instead of detailed one....

my friend using this app and filing return is different thing, person who has full knowledge of gst can file easily. If everyone starts filing their own returns and starts follow compliances itself then there is no need of CAs and accountant

see I'm not saying you should only take regular registration ....all I'm saying do the math before taking decision and that's what we ca are taught....do the cost benefit.....in this case the person asking question is seems to me well educated....and that's why I have asked to think about both option.....like you I am not saying him do close eye and follow what I'm saying..... I'm just saying one should consider both the option....if he is not able to maintain accounts himself than he should go for composition....but if he can (which I think he can) than why not do it and save money....

and by the way if you think CA become CA to file return than I am sorry, but you are undervaluing value of CA.....I have to say that I didn't give 4-5 years of my career to help people in filling return which a graduate can learn easily

I am not say CA will file Return itself but there are lots of things apart from return which CA shall should see. In Return also he will give assistance to client

Absolutely correct. Those who are doing an indepth analysis of the Acts and Rules know that govt is underplaying by saying compliances are very less.

A composition dealer has to:

  1. Maintain records of inward and outward supply of goods/services, stock of goods, tax paid [Section 35(1) of CGST Act]
  2. Comply with provisions of Reverse Charge Mechanism [Section 10(1) of CGST Act]
  3. Pay tax on stock held as on date of opting Composition Scheme, under Reverse Charge Mechanism [Rule 5(1)(c) of CGST Rules]
