Yes, you can give only exam of group-1 and after passing this group , your articleship wil be commenced and your attempt for CA-final exam will not get delayed.

however i vud personally suggest u 2 go for both groups as all the subjects in group 2 is very easy and interesting......

as well u hav better chances of clearing and even getting a rank if u give both groups.....

u can write both groups .......... but if u feel confident abt only the grp 1, give tht alone..... thn u can get into the training n thn give grp 2.

BUT ITS ALWAYS SUGGESTED TO APPEAR FOR BOTH  GROUPS AS U CAN PASS BOTH OF THEM EVEN IF U SCORE SAY 180 IN ONE AND 120 IN OTHER ....TOTAL OF 300....

one thing i am unable to understnd that i have not even opened second group book. How can i appear for both? plz answer

manish go for first group only...after passing first  group you start articleship and give the second group it will be easy for you...
