Dear Friends / Experts,

An HUF is having house property in India.

The Karta of the HUF is residing outside India permanently and Karta’s brother in India is managing the affairs of the HUF.

Query

Can someone please confirm, what would be the status of such HUF?

How I would comply with the requirement of AADHAAR-PAN LINK, as the Karta is residing outside India permanently and has become a foreign national?

Update principal contact details with the authorised signatory residing in India and Link aadhar of authorised signatory on the portal

I understand that Karta may have his brother, who is residing in India as AUTHORISED SIGNATORY and thereafter, comply with the Aadhaar-PAN link process.

Please confirm whether my understanding is proper.

Please also confirm, if possible, what would be the status of such HUF?

I think there are issues here in with regards to residential status. Thorough understanding of the law is required. Avoid updating aadhar of authorised signatory for now.
