Kanjan, the miser, hits upon the idea of saving on electricity bills by using only candles to light his house at night. He buys a packet of 32 candles and puts his plan into effect.

He is gratified to note that the 'energy saving' plan is a thumping success,as he is able to manage by lighting just 1 candle each night.

However on ht 33rd day he is unhappy again as he has run out of candles and need to buy more. Then as his eyes fall onthe stumps of the candles used earlier he gets another bright idea.

Why not try make new candles from these stumps? Eagerly, he collects the stumps, melts them, and starts his experiment. To his delight, he finds that he can make one full candle from four stumps!

'Hurray! Now I can manage for some more days without buying a fresh packet of candles !' he says.

The question is:

For how many more days can Kanjan manage with the 'recycled' candles?
