Quick Summary
This discussion addresses an issue where the eligible deduction amount for Section 80TTA appears as zero when preparing ITR 3, even when the old tax regime is selected. Participants are advised that under the old regime, savings bank interest income must be manually reported in the 80TTA deduction column within the ITR 3 form. If the eligible amount field is greyed out, ensure you are manually inputting the relevant figures.

If you want to Claim deduction you have to change New regim to old regim.

I have chose Old regime only.

Whatever amount you put in Income from other sources ( savings account) that only you have report manually under section 80TTA column , if you opted for old tax regime .

Sec 80TTA AND SEC 80TTB

Same issue with me. Old regime, 80TTA eligible amount field is greyed out and showing 0. No solution yet.

If you chose the previous tax system, you are solely responsible for manually reporting any amount you earn from savings accounts or other non-business sources in the 80TTA field. backyard baseball
