80ddb query
An assessee claimed deduction u/s 80 DDB for haemo dialysis. He claimed Rs2800 for every month. Does Dialysis come u/s 80DDB?

Yes, it is part and parcel of treatment for 'Chronic Renal Failure'........ but should be certified by a Nephrologist / Urologist having Doctorate of Medicine degree or equivalent qualification.

No. Unless the certificate from the specialist, deduction will not be available......
