80 D deductions

No, medical expenses  incurred and reimbursed by Health Insurance cannot be claimed as deduction. I would advise you to claim Health Insurance Premium as deduction under sec 80D for self or family.

premium paid by the employer will be part of Group Medical policy taken by Employer for company as a whole.

So you cannot even claim that premium under 80D. 

Sir, I am not claiming 80D and declaring no deduction, but other medical expenses including preventive health checkup. 

No sir there's no insurance declared or claimed u/s 80D, but can he claim other medical expenses including preventive health checkup etc.
