My father worked for Indian Air Force and PSU Bank. Now he is retired and drawing pension from both. This year his income (pension) exceeds more than Rs 3 lakhs. He dont have anything to make 80C deduction.
Which ITR form he has to file. This is the first time he is doing e-filing. Please help.
ITR 1 Can be filed
Since he worked in Indian Air Force i.e under Central Govt. , the amount of pension would be exempt u/s 10
ITR-1 can be used if exempt income does not exceed rupees 5000
If it does then use ITR 2
