I hope many of you have gone through today's ET or other newspapers/websites mentioning 20 years of India's economic reforms. Dr. Manmohan Singh, as Finance Minister presented Budget on July 24, 1991, that brought in dramatic changes in Indian economy, followed by other reforms in coming years. That budget speech ended with these famous words "No power on earth can stop an idea whose time has come. I suggest to this august House that the emergence of India as a major economic power in the world happens to be one such idea."  It has been exact 20 years since then. Surely, it a special day for India.

In last 20 years, India has come a long way from being called as "The White Elephant" to one of fasting growing countries of World. What do you think of India's journey during last 20 years? Please share your views.

although the development is there also the corruption is increased at higher rate tooo

it is true that corrpution is also rampant in India, but I don't think economic reforms has increased it, if not decreased. I hope that Govt. will put in a strong Lokpal Act, which can help evade corruption to a large extent.

r u sure that strong LOKPAL BILL WILL COME?

i don't think so- my personal view

I HOPE it does come
