17th may, 2013 - convocation

The Institute had not conducted Convocation for Members who had qualified in November 2011 and subsequent attempts. Now it is clearing the back log by conducting it for Members qualified between Nov 2011 and May 2012. 

You may have to wait for your turn. Normally, ICAI will intimate about the convocation programme to all eligible members in the due course of time. Hence, keep chekcing for the news shortly for your turn too.

Thank you for your reply. I was confused because some of my friends who have qualified in Nov'11 attempt and also became member with me have got the invitation for the convocation held at Chennai. I am scared because when I have checked my email id on ICAI website, it was updated wrong by a letter. Do they send the invitation only via an email or through any other mode too. If so, then the updation of wrong email is no way my fault right?

Is there any other way to get back to them. Please advise. Thank you in advance!!!

Check the Official Directory for help and address your grievance and I am sure they will help you. There are at times administrative lacunas and I am not sure what has happened in your case. Kindly follow up with your De-centralized office.

Amrita ji, I agree with the point which you have raised, but these days ICAI is hosting convocation programmes mainly at its decentralised office and barring family members not to take part in the historical moments of a CA's life. 

It is a moment of pride not only to the member of ICAI but also to his or her family members to see their wards fulfilling the dreams.

I hope ICAI revisits the subject to accommodate the parents and their loved ones to be part of one's journey of success.
