15 G ^ H submission without quoting PAN No

a person has to furnish a declaration under Section 197A in Form 15G/15H that tax on his income will be nil. But any person, other than senior citizens, whose aggregate income from dividend, interest, withdrawal of deposits with NSS and income in respect of units exceeds the basic exemption limit cannot furnish Form 15G for non-deduction. Anyone who violates the above provision or quotes a false PAN will be fined Rs 10,000 for each default or failure.; also read the point no 5 in the forms to understand the requirement of PAN no.

PAN is a Unique Identifixcation No. for assesees under Income Tax Act,

It is the most basic thing to have under Income Tax..Had this thing be not there How would IT Department exercise controls...

Don't mind brother but I don't understand ur logic when govt. does something systematically then also u curse them...

it is not compulsory to fill pan no in form 15h u can chose one  of the option which say 'that i hv nt been assessed to it at any time in the past but i fall within the jurisdition of chief com of it.

Quoting of PAN no is mandatory both for 15G and 15H.
