PERSONAL INJURIES (COMPENSATION INSURANCE) ACT, 1963[37 OF 1963][Repealed by the Repealing and Amending Act, 2016]An Act to impose on employers a liability to pay compensation to workmen sustaining personal injuries and to provide for the insurance of employers against such liability.BE it enacted by Parliament in the Fourteenth year of the Republic of India as follows:-CHAPTER IPRELIMINARYShort title, extent and commencement.1. (1) This Act may be called the Personal Injuries (Compensation Insurance) Act, 1963.(2) It extends to the whole of India.(3) It shall come into force on such date as the Central Government may by notification appoint.
