Certain persons to be public servants.77. Every officer appointed under this Act [***] shall be deemed to be a public servant within the meaning of section 21 of the Indian Penal Code (45 of 1860).
1. Words "and every member of the Appellate Board" omitted by the Tribunals Reforms Act, 2021, w.r.e.f. 4-4-2021. Prior to its omission said words as amended by the Finance Act, 2017, w.e.f. 26-5-2017.
