INDUSTRIES (DEVELOPMENT AND REGULATION) ACT, 1951

An Act to provide for the development and regulation of certain industries
BE it enacted by Parliament as follows:-
CHAPTER I
PRELIMINARY
Short title, extent and commencement.
1. (1) This Act may be called the Industries (Development and Regulation) Act, 1951.
(2) It extends to the whole of India [***].
(3) It shall come into force on such date as the Central Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint.
