Section - 3 - Establishment of Employees's State Insurance Corporation

CORPORATION, STANDING COMMITTEE AND MEDICAL BENEFIT COUNCIL

Establishment of Employees’ State Insurance Corporation.

3. (1) With effect from such date as the Central Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint in this behalf, there shall be established for the administration of the scheme of Employees’ State Insur­ance in accordance with the provisions of this Act a Corporation to be known as the Employees’ State Insurance Corporation.

(2) The Corporation shall be a body corporate by the name of Employees’ State Insurance Corporation having perpetual succession and a common seal and shall by the said name sue and be sued.
