Section - 18 - Protection of action taken in good faith
[Protection of action taken in good faith.18. No suit, prosecution or other legal proceeding shall lie against the Central Government, a State Government, the Presiding Officer of a Tribunal, any authority referred to in section 7A, an Inspector or any other person for anything which is in good faith done or intended to be done in pursuance of this Act, the Scheme, the [* * *] Pension Scheme or the Insurance Scheme.
88. Substituted for existing section 18 by the Employees' Provident Funds and Miscellaneous Provisions (Amendment) Act, 1988, w.e.f. 1-8-1988. Earlier existing section 18 was amended by the Labour Provident Fund Laws (Amendment) Act, 1971, and the Labour Provident Fund Laws (Amendment) Act, 1976, w.e.f. 1-8-1976.
