[COST ACCOUNTANTS] ACT, 1959

ACT NO. 23 OF 1959, DATED 19-5-1959

An Act to make provision for the [regulation and development of the profession of cost accountants].

BE it enacted by Parliament in the Tenth Year of the Republic of India as follows :-

CHAPTER I

PRELIMINARY

Short title, extent and commencement.

1. (1) This Act may be called the [Cost Accountants] Act, 1959;

(2) It extends to the whole of India [***];

(3) It shall come into force on such date as the Central Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint.
