Section - 16 - Officers and employees, salary, allowances, etc
[Officers and employees, salary, allowances, etc.16.[(1) For the efficient performance of its duties, the Council shall appoint-
Provided that no appointment or re-appointment or termination of appointment of Director (Discipline) or Joint Director (Discipline) shall have effect unless such appointment, re-appointment or termination of appointment is made with the previous approval of the Central Government.](2) The Council may also-
| (a) | - | a Secretary who will carry out administrative functions of the Institute, as its Chief Executive Officer; |
| (b) | - | a Director (Discipline) and Joint Directors (Discipline) not below the rank of Deputy Secretary of the Institute, to perform such functions as are assigned to them under this Act and the rules and regulations framed thereunder: |
