As Per Sec. 69 of CGST Act 2017: Power to Arrest by central Tax officer has been upheld by dismissing the Special Leave Criminal Petition by P.V. Ramana Reddy challenging the Decision of Telangana High Court relating to power to arrest under the CGST Act, the High Court had upheld the authority of the Commissioner of GST to make such arrests and had refused to grant any interim relief.
