The GST Council recommended extending full exemption from IGST for COVID-relief goods imported on a payment basis, and for Amphotericin B due to the rise in Black Fungus cases. They also approved a reduction in GST rate for Diethylcarbamazine tablets to 5% and proposed amnesty measures for trade facilitation, including extended due dates for return filing and rationalised late fees.
