The Indian government has revoked the anti-dumping duty previously imposed on Purified Terephthalic Acid (PTA) and its variants. This decision rescinds two earlier notifications related to this duty. The revocation applies to PTA originating from the People's Republic of China, Iran, Indonesia, Malaysia, Taiwan, Korea RP, and Thailand.

FAQ :
The anti-dumping duty imposed on Purified Terephthalic Acid (PTA), including its variants Medium Quality Terephthalic Acid and Qualified Terephthalic Acid, is being revoked.
Notifications No. 28/2016-Customs (ADD), dated 5th July, 2016 and No. 28/2019-Customs are being rescinded.
The revocation applies to Purified Terephthalic Acid originating from or exported from the People's Republic of China, Iran, Indonesia, Malaysia, Taiwan, Korea RP, and Thailand.
The tariff item for Purified Terephthalic Acid is 2917 36 00 of the First Schedule to the Customs Tariff Act, 1975.
This notification was issued on the 2nd of February, 2020.
