FAQ :
The purpose of this notification is to further amend an existing customs notification to exempt wool, woollen fabrics, and apparels received as gifts by the Indian Red Cross Society from customs duty.
The Indian Red Cross Society will benefit from this customs duty exemption.
The exemption covers wool, woollen fabrics, and apparels that are received as gifts.
The original notification being amended is Notification No. 148/1994-Customs, dated the 13th July, 1994.
This notification has been issued by the Government of India, Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue).
This notification was issued on the 2nd February, 2020.
