Section 24 of the Banking Regulation Act, 1949
Maintenance of Statutory Liquidity Ratio (SLR)
Please refer to the Reserve Bank Press Release : 2009-2010/227 dated August 10, 2009 on the issuance of Government of India Cash Management Bills. We advise that the proposed cash management bill will be treated as Government of India Treasury Bills under clause (c) (ii) of the Notification RPCD.CO.RRB. No. 8483/03.05.28(B)/2007-08 dated February 14, 2008 and accordingly shall be treated as SLR securities.
