The system will now automatically approve requests for the registration of the same incentive bank account and IFSC code for an Importer Exporter Code (IEC) at different customs locations, provided this combination has already been approved at least once.

No, the existing workflow for submitting requests remains unchanged. However, the approval process will be automated for eligible cases.

No, for requests where the bank account and IFSC code combination has already been approved at another location, the system will grant approval directly, and these will not be routed to the port officer for manual approval.

Once approved by the system, the request will continue to flow to the Public Financial Management System (PFMS) for validation, as per the existing process.

The initiative aims to further streamline customs procedures, improve efficiency, and provide a better customs experience for trade.
