No. 61/2020-Customs (N.T)

G.S.R. 467(E ). - In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of section 58A of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs hereby makes the following amendment in the notification of the Government of India, Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue No. 66/2016-Customs (N.T), dated the 14th May, 2016, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (i) vide number G.S.R 513 (E), dated the 14th May, 2016, namely: –

In the said notification, for clause (1), the following clause shall be substituted, namely: –

“(1) gold, silver, other precious metals and articles thereof;”.

Note: The principal notification No. 66/2016-Customs (N.T), dated the 14th May, 2016 was published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary vide number G.S.R 513(E), dated the 14th May, 2016.

FAQ :

This notification amends the principal notification No. 66/2016-Customs (N.T) dated 14th May 2016.

Clause (1) of the principal notification has been substituted to include 'gold, silver, other precious metals and articles thereof'.

The amendment has been issued by the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs.

The amendment was made in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of section 58A of the Customs Act, 1962.

The principal notification No. 66/2016-Customs (N.T) was issued on 14th May 2016.
