Why we reduce purchase if goods are given as

We reduce the "Purchases" account when goods are given as charity because those items are no longer available for sale. By crediting "Purchases," we remove the cost of those specific items from our trading account and shift that cost to a "Charity/Donation" expense account, ensuring accurate profit reporting.
