i think interviewer is talked about :-
PROFIT AFTER CHARGING DEPRECIATION
OR
PROFIT BEFORE CHARGING DEPRECIATION.
yes absolutely
e.g.
Total income: 100 lac
Total expenses: 75 lac
Depreciation: 10 lac
Profit before depreciation: 100 - 75 = 25 lac
Profit after depreciation: 25 - 10 = 15 lac
