I come from science background and I don't have much knowledge about commerce.. I have short listed two best coaching centers for my CPT coaching, one institute gives coaching from 10 am to 5 pm and the other gives only from 5 pm to 7:30 pm.. both of them are good, which one should I select??

As u dont have much knowledge about Commerce group you should go for 10 to 5 pm

hi,
i suggest you to go for 10 am to 5 pm as you will get more time to learn the basics thoroughly,
there are many examples that students from non-commerce background successfully complete the CA Course.
As you are from science background, maths & states will be easy for you.

Go for the institute which have better goodwill and produce better results + where the teachers/faculty is good.
Quality of study matters to the no of hours..!

Dont let the "I don't have much knowledge about commerce" thing, get into ur mind...
It wont give u additional confidence and rather rob you of it...
And has Himanshu has said, Quality of education matters instead of the Quantity!

Top 3 ranks have been clearly stated as recipients of scholarships...Don't know about the 5 th position...Congrats all the same!

and to kanaka, i believe coming from science background will not matter much. i am also from science background but got 5th rank in the last cpt. so u can surely do well.
