i have been accepted by Ray N Ray Mumbai, Sharp & Tannan as well as Sahini Natrajan and Bahl(SNB), Delhi......
pls suggest the best firm which would give me maximum exposure and will help my career..
Ray n Ray is provides taxation as well as assurance services to many corporate houses which includes HDFC, Oberoi, Trident etc....
On the other hand SNB and sharp & Tannan provides internal and management audits to large corporate houses like Maruti, pepsico, sony etc...
Have u applied to Lodha & Co., Singhi & Co., Kalyaniwala Mistry? These are much better firms. Taxation makes sense only if you want to practise tax in a large firm in long run. Else audits and internal audits is better as gives you better overview of industry and leaves greater options open. I went to Singhi & Co. and can tell you its great exposure and alumni from the firm are now MD of large companies.
I have not applied for the above mentioned firms except Singhi & Co, in which I was first Interviewed and eventually selected and was asked to join. But just before 4 days of date of joining i came to know that due to some Communication gap within the firm, my message to top management of the firm was not conveyed and less deserving candidates was appointed.
My first impression about this firm went bad and now i am not keen to join this firm.
Pratik - I have worked in the firm unlike just sending a resume and passing a comment if the receptionist has not conveyed a message. One has to be more practical given that these are large size firms. The firm has great people and great exposure is all I can say.
Gaurav-I m sorry for late reply but u need to know that i had no intention to comment on any body neither i dispute on your opinion about the exposure that this firm can give. I m just sharing my experience with this firm. I apologise if you felt bad about it.

About SNB i can say that the major service provided by them is mgmt and internal audit
When u r assigned any company then u r posted at clients premises and duration is generally for long period and it will get monotous after a period of time.
Otherwise its a good firm who has clients like Maruti, Pepsico, Sony etc.

ohkay...i think em joining SNB coz of its reputation n gud clients..
i just hope i dnt regret my decision.. O:)
