one of my client who is a proprietor is not registered under any indirect taxes... so I wanted to know when gst registration will b required to be taken for him?

Currently ,there is no provision to get registed under GST for new assessee.Only those Assessee who were registered under any on the indirect tax are allowed to migrate in GST regime .
For new registration procedure we need to wait for the notification
If the threshold limit of 20 lakhs is exceeded, registration will be required.
it's depend upon from which state he/she made supplies .. because threshold limit is 20 lakh in some states and 10 lakh in specified states
