When am i eligible for CA Final Attempt

Hi nishant, if ur boss agrees that such leave will not be shown in form, then urs is MAY 11 attempt.

But if ur boss asks u to show such leave in 108 form, then u r suppose to re-imburse those 3 months and then in nov 11 u'll be eligible for exams

I want to know you one thing that, in the whole term of articleship period an article is eligible for leave upto 1/3rd of the period served.

And your employer need not have to mention this leave in 108 form.

so, according to me u are elligble for may 2011 exams.

For the above rules and regulation u can read the traning guide issued by the institute.

and Principal require to fill the no. of days in form 108.

You can write you exams only in november in the case you have given.

hey guys thanx for ur replies.. wat i now want to know is that suppose my boss doesnt mention the excess leave in my form 108 and lets me appear for the May 2011 attempt, does he have any power to make me complete the balance 3 months after my exams?

And you guys are sure about me not being able to appear for May 2011 attempt if my boss writes full leave in form 108 rite? coz lot of my friends have joined classes for May 2011 without being aware about this provision. Everyone is under the impression that the balance extended articleship can be done after giving the May 2011 exams.

Hi nishant, if ur boss lets u fill form 108 and sign it too... Then "LEGALLY" he cant force u to extend ur articleship.

But dont forget that he's the one who has to sign other forms too, after exams,. So, if he allows u to sit in may attempt, then u should quitely agree for later illegal extension, should not argue for anything....

Hey, as i said earlier even, u can sit for MAY 2011.., if ur boss doesnot interpret in between.. So, dont consider that u r not eligible for MAY 2011....

I think u should also start the coaching classes with ur frnds. If ur boss agrees and lets u go for MAY 2011, well and fine, or else u will end up those classes in MAY and will go for NOVEMBER (that means, u'll get extra 6months to prepare or revise)...

So, dont just sit and think urs is NOVEMBER attempt, start preparing as if urs is MAY

In my thot to call u bak ur principal may take up in writing 4m u that u will join the office after ur attempt.

On completion of effective articleship (i.e. including excess leave). So if your boss agrees not to show excess leave and have a mutual understanding then you can give the exam.
