Yes GST audit applicable
Applicable.

The turnover limit to be checked for audit applicability in GST is to be seen for the *FULL FINANACIAL YEAR*. i.e including turnover for the period April 17 to June 17.

This is as per FAQ
Yes as per section 35 & 44 ,read with rule 80 of CGST its Agregate Turnover upto 2 crore (in sec 35 its turnover ) for FINANCIAL YEAR & fy includes april to june 17 also.

There is no clarification being issued till date by Govt till date in this regard , hence its better to compute turnover for 12 months only

@ Pankaj Rawat it is clarified by GST Tech department on twitter via FAQ issued by them.

@ CA Rashmi
i do not follow twitter , I prefer to read bare Act .

NOTE : FAQ really governs Act !!!!!!

Agree with you Pankaj but now many things are clarified via twitter and FAQ. Otherwise there is nothing more reliable than Bare Act.

One should never rely on FAQs or Twitter replies as they are in many cases ultra vires the law. Recently a faq on real estate was wrong on many accounts. As far as the case Gst audit eligibility is concerned it very clear in the act and again I would say where the law gets ambiguous it is the intention which matters.
When readings Faqs it is very important to verify them with the act and rules because in every Faq there is a disclaimer that if not according to law the act and rules will prevail. So all in all Faqs are just for awareness but they have very little value.

Agree with you CA Altamush Zafar this FAQ is verified with law also.

Apart from above my personal view:

Actually , i personally do no prefer to read FAQ because it create sluggish mind , cannot gain much knowledge or you start finding it easy tool to your problems which ultimately generrates some sort of disinterest toward refering Act , Rules etc

It does"nt mean that I do not read FAQ , I do ....., but only after referring Act first
Yes this particular Faq is as per the intentions of the law.
***easy tool for solution to your problem

I also read bare act or rules but this is only to clarify to the querist that such thing is clarify via FAQ also, nothing else.
