What should be the articleship period

i think 1 year articleship & 1 tear industrial training is enough

2.5 YAERS WILL BE SUFFICIENT IF PRINCIPAL DNT TAKE OUT THERE PERSONAL WORK FROM ARTICLE. I MEAN IF THEY ONLY DO OFFICE WORK

I suggest a new sheme. Aritcleship should commence only when a student has passed certain papers. The passing of such papers should guarantee the student that he will ultimately be awarded a CA degree.

The current scheme, wherein students begin articleship with no surety of even qualifying as a CA, is very wrong. An apperentice should be one who has firmly entered the profession and is merely gaining experience.
