What points should be consider before joining articleship?

if u have any friends of you doing articleship just ask them abt their work culture, environment, nature of work and all.. first select a list of firms that u heard to be good or u know that it is good.. then try to find what kind of work they are doing..either tax audit or stat audit or company audit.. whether internal or external.. then look whether there u can find frequent chances of going out to audit and gain experience and exposure.... then apply for it..
