What Does Shareholder Mean?

Share holder is a person who invested its money in the company share. you are right we can a person as share holder even he has taken one share only.

but shareholder can't be said as stock holder becaused the stock refer to the fully paid up share,& share listed 

so the share market investor can be called as stock holder
