i know that ICAI is giving  permission 4 termination on genuine grounds....!!!

but that doesnt count for anything bcoz after taking termination that 50KM clause is still applicable on him.......so practically the trainee cannot join new office in the same city.........!!!!!

so even after ICAi approve of ur termination u cannot complete your transfer formality....!!!......

I know of a person who has been granted transfer on the basis of better exposure to another firm in mumbai, took two months for the reply to come. Its a very good point that even though transfer might be given, re registration might not be done in the same city.

If he gets even his registration done in the same city then it means transfer is allowed within the same city on basis of better exposure. Good news for eveybody right ?

I will try to keep everybody posted. Cheers

do u mean that ur frnd got transfer in d same city...??????????? r u sure

The new Preseident has decided to ammend the rules of articleship transfer and help students from who are facing hardships.

Based on this, on GENUINE grounds we can presumme that articleship transfers within the same city is also being permitted.

Clarity regarding transfers are expected in the next few months based on the recent messages of the President.

No i am just saying he was granted TRANSFER i.e. termination of articelship under current C.A. to engage another C.A. as his principle by just a reason of better exposure in the same city. I have seen the letter asking him to file a new Form109 with a Form 102 myself. Isn't this a clear deviation from the usual practice of the institute to deny all requests that aren't mentioned by them like a transfer of a working parent outside the city, death of principle, medical grounds etc.

He is yet to REGISTER again under his new C.A. as the PCC exams are just around the corner.

It just seems to me like a change in attitude of the insittute, at least regarding transfers.

@ hardik  - there is no place for presumptions....i know for sure that articleship transfer in the same city is not permitted...!!!!!!!!!!!

@ unknown - let ur frnd enquire from d institute whether he is eligible for new office in d same city....!!!!!!!...............then plz let us know

thank u

Thats what i said, i will let everyone know when he registers again, but just the fact that the institute is allowing transfer applications on mutual consent and better exposure is just heartening, isn't it.

ofcourse....do keep posting
