hii i hereby want to know that wat will be under our syllabi of may 06 taxation i min vat or cst

Dear Priya

VAT is a state legislation and CST is central Legislation, for which state wise laws are there and ICAI syllabus covers only Laws applicable for whole of india.

So prepare for CST, however on VAT conseptual questions (not state specific for related to ACT or Ruesl) can be there from VAT.

VAT is not applicable in all the state and CST Act is still followed in all over india

there the no change in syallbus of CA PE-ii the question of VAT act no arise

so i feel the CST act applicable in examination
