hi, while arriving transaction value under customs, whether installation charges for machinery and consulting charges for the same paid in India will be included in transaction value or not... please advise....

Irrespective of the place of payment, if the agreement of sale provides for the installation and consulting ..then the charges are inculded in the transaction value as per rule 10(1) of Customs Act. Otherwise as the activity is post importation......the charges are not includable in the transaction value...........
