Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies that directors are generally permitted to provide interest-free loans to their private limited companies, as there are no specific legal restrictions against it. To ensure proper compliance, it's advised to obtain a declaration from the director confirming the funds are personal. The loan should be reported in the directors' report and notes to accounts as an unsecured loan. Additionally, companies must file Form DPT-3 annually for any borrowing, including loans from directors.
There seems no such provision which restricts a Director to give interest free loan to the Company so yes Directors can give interest free loan to the Company.
Thanks for the reply... We just have to get a declaration from director that he is giving loan to company out of his funds and then we have to report it in directors report and in notes to accounts as well we have to show it as unsecured loans?
